3-D Printers Set to Disrupt International Trade by 2060

As investors provide resources and the the field of 3D printing grows, its impact on international trade will be increasingly felt. The result could be lowered trade cross-border trade. In fact, Raoul Leering, head of international trade analysis at ING, says that locally printed goods could decrease trade by 25% by the year 2060, including goods in the automotive, industrial machinery and consumer products areas.
