According to the report in the MCA’s “New Frontiers”, which is a project based on research by Trading Nation Consulting, there are huge business opportunities both for India and Australia in mineral resources and mining equipment, technology and services (METS).

Opportunities for the Australian minerals and METS sector companies in India include increasing consumption of thermal (energy) coal and metallurgical (steel-making) coal, demand for nuclear energy and need for imported uranium, demand for lithium and rare earth minerals, demand for new technologies and services.
